The Center for Winning Performance is a "mental training" organization dedicated to helping athletes and other high performers develop and keep a winning attitude to fully reach their potential, both professionally and personally. The Center focuses on helping the best become even better, coaching clients on recovering faster from adversity and showing these top performers how to thrive on stress. Founded in 2002, the Center evolved from the work of Jack Llewellyn, Ph.D., world-renowned sports psychology consultant, author, professor, business coach and speaker. Internationally known for his work with some of the nation's and world's top athletes, Dr. Llewellyn teaches clients how to use the same approach and strategies used by successful athletes to properly assess their abilities, correctly focus on the processes to reach goals, deal positively with stress, and turn adversity into an advantage. Thanks to the same performance techniques Dr. Llewellyn uses with celebrated athletes, the Center for Winning Performance has inspired dramatic results for members of some of the most prestigious companies and organizations in the nation. Clients cover a broad spectrum of industries and have included Fortune 500 companies (IBM, AT&T, 3M, Hewlett-Packard, Georgia-Pacific, Johnson & Johnson); financial services institutions (Prudential Financial Services, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase and Co., GE Capital Services, American Express); pharmaceutical companies (Novartis, SmithKline Beecham, Pharmacia); energy companies (Southern Company, Duke Energy) as well as such organizations as the FBI, ATF, Harrah's Resorts and many national associations. In addition to one-on-one coaching, Dr. Llewellyn gives speeches and seminars to businesses and organizations. Among the most requested topics are "Thriving on Stress," "Recovering Faster from Adversity" and "Winning Versus Surviving."
